All of our tool handles and shafts are guaranteed for two years … but wood is a natural material and will eventually break. The Sirius hoe head is fixed with a wooden wedge, supplied with the replacement shaft.
If the shaft of the Sirius becomes wet and then dries out, it may shrink and come loose over time. Tapping the other end of the shaft with a hammer brings the head more snugly on to the shaft, as shown in the video. The wedge can also be replaced so that the head fits more tightly. (Doing this requires some skill in woodworking. Contact us to request a replacement wedge, and we will send instructions)
Here is a video showing how to fit a new shaft:
If you do not have the facilities to do this, we will replace the shaft for you at no extra cost. Post the head back to us (making sure you get a proof of posting in case it goes astray) and we will do the rest.
