My daughter bought me for Christmas some of your really great gardening implements. I love them….but the point of this message is to tell you that the Hive Tool is absolutely loved by my bees. They really like to crawl all over it and don’t mind a bit when it is used to pull their home apart for the purpose of inspection. So thank you so much for making this lovely tool.
Cheers, Pat Brown. Beekeeper for 35 years.

I have used this at various times throughout the season and although I like the design find the metal too soft. It doesn’t keep an edge and is prone to bending on particularly well propolised frames. I do have more than the average number of hives and look after my association hives so perhaps more use than the normal back garden beekeeper.

This hive tool is anything but standard. I treated myself to one recently to celebrate getting my first hive of long-wished for bees. It is so beautiful with its etchings along the edge on both sides, it sits beautifully balanced in the hand, and is perfectly functional too. It would make a wonderful present.
