About Us
We are a small internet based company that has been promoting these garden tools in the UK since we started using them ourselves in 2001.On this site you will find information about copper, its properties and its many uses; a little about the slug and snail effect, some information about Viktor Schauberger (whose work inspired the development of these tools) and of course the tools themselves.

About the tools
The tool heads are made of solid bronze (copper with a little bit of tin). Other parts are pure copper, brass and other copper alloys.- They don't rust

- They are hardwearing and will last for years
- Copper is known to deter slugs and snails
- They slice into the soil and come out clean
The tools are hand-made in Austria and Hungary. The company is based in Austria and the smithy is just over the border in Hungary. The tool heads are made of solid bronze and the handles are from European hardwoods - ash, beech and lime. Our tools are designed for working in cultivated soil. The tool heads carry a no-quibble, lifetime guarantee (excluding normal wear and tear) and the handles have a three-year guarantee.
Our Policy
We aim to run our business along ethical guidelines causing as little distubance to the planet as possible. With this in mind...
The tools are not throwaway products. In fact they are guaranteed a lifetime.
Our leaflets are printed on recycled paper, produced by Recycled Paper Supplies.
We use recycled cardboard sourced from local businesses for our packaging. We use as little plastic as possible.
We bank with the Co-operative Bank.
Our telephone account is with the Phone Co-op.
Our Service
We have some stockists of the tools around the UK, and sell them ourselves at shows. Otherwise, you can place an order via our secure online shop. (Please enable cookies to visit. The shop uses session cookies, so that the system can remember the contents of your basket as you move from one page to another through the site. No personal details are stored.) As well as the tools, there are some gift ideas - a copper watering can, brass plant mister ...
We aim to send out all orders within a week of receiving them (usually sooner). If there is a delay, we will let you know. Most orders are sent by post. Orders outside the UK are sent by airmail.
For urgent orders, we offer a next-day courier service. Check the box on the order form if you want this.
Our tool handle personalisation service for the small tools allows you to choose your own wording to be inscribed on the tool handle. Complete the box on the order form with your chosen inscription. This will take a little longer - usually a couple of weeks.
Our guarantee. These are long-lasting tools, which should outlast most of us. However, if for any reason you are unhappy with your tool, we offer a no-quibble lifetime guarantee. We will refund or replace an unused tool. We will also repair or replace a faulty tool. Of course, this excludes normal wear and tear. The wooden handles and shafts are guaranteed for three years (and we supply replacement handles and shafts).
