Phoenix

Polux
Garden Hoe
Like
Phoenix but with a single prong. We find that this tool is more
suitable for stony or more friable soil, and for more careful gardening.

There
is also a longer version of the
Phoenix
and Polux Hoes,
with a limewood
shaft. Here is the Long Polux Hoe, (which we use to hoe the
onion bed) next to the Perseus Rake and
Pegasus Pick. Long Phoenix and Polux are so lightweight, giving us
easy reach to the back of the flower border or the other side of
the vegetable bed.

Phoenix
Garden Hoe
|
This
is a convenient tool for precision work in the garden. The two 3-inch
prongs loosen compacted soil, and the blade can dig out stubborn weeds.
The diamond-shaped head can also be used to transplant young plants, then
the whole tool is useful to tamp down the soil. Handle made of turned
beechwood.
